The LED strip placed in the profile shall be connected to an LED transformer which shall be connected to the mains. When selecting the transformer, it is important to consider the power of the LED strips. An LED power supply, or also known as an LED transformer, is a device that converts the 220V voltage into the 5V, 12V, 24V volts required for the LED strip. The wattage of the LED strips is important in selecting the right power supply. Usually the wattage of the LED light bar is calculated and a 30% margin is added. As an example, for a 1 metre 4.8 W LED strip, the power of the power supply is calculated as follows: 4.8 W (strip power) x 1 metre (strip length) x 1.3 (30% margin) =6.242 W. Thus, a power supply of 30 W will be sufficient for you, even if you have more than one strip of this length connected to the same power supply. In case you cannot find an identical power supply according to the power calculation for LED strips, the nearest larger size shall be chosen.
