Choosing the right fastening components is essential, as they directly affect the final product's quality and durability.

A strong connection ensures furniture remains intact even when moved and allows for disassembly and reassembly when needed. Widely used in furniture manufacturing, furniture screws are made of steel and zinc-coated to prevent corrosion. In some cases, chrome-plated screws are used for a more refined look, especially where fasteners remain visible and aesthetic value matters.

A screw is a fastener with an external thread that passes through holes and is typically tightened or loosened by applying torque to a nut – a metal component with an internal thread, either through or blind.

Wood screws (also known as wood fasteners) are among the most common fastening elements used in furniture production. They provide strong joints, are easy to install and remove, and are ideal for furniture that may need to be disassembled. These screws are typically made from soft steel or stainless steel and are zinc-coated for corrosion resistance. Their coarse thread ends in a sharp point, allowing easy penetration into wood without damaging internal layers – unlike nails.

For very hard materials or larger screws, pre-drilling a pilot hole is recommended. The correct length and thread depth are key to reliable fastening. Use a matching screwdriver to avoid damaging the screw head or tool. When an old screw with a damaged head needs to be removed, use a screw extractor – a tool designed to grip and remove stripped screws, typically used with a drill.

This variety and attention to detail ensure our fasteners meet the demands of both amateur DIYers and professional furniture makers.
